I Was Presented With A Traditional Georgian Farmhouse Guest Bedroom, With Duvan Bed And A Dark Stained Wooden Headboard.
Brief:
Add Elegance to a Spare Bedroom.
Solution:
Add Interest, Warmth and Height to a Soleless West Facing Bedroom.
Design Proposal:
Create a statement focal bed canopy in a traditional style. Use generous amounts of rich neutral coloured silk/wool damask fabric, lined with a plain silk/wool deep grey coloured luscious lining with matching quilted bedspread and re-upholstered deep buttoned nursing chair. Finished off with a designer bobble trim. Co-ordinate with a matching gathered floor length bed valance.
Introduce a rich, warm wallpaper with a bold pattern to balance out the dramatic feel of the canopy.
Paint the fitted wardrobes, wooden bedhead and canopy holdbacks in the same neutral fabric colour.
